Sister Friends provides candid insights and observations about the ups and downs of friendship. True friendship is based upon the biblical concept of 'iron sharpening iron.' False friendships are self-centered and volatile. Show me your closest friends, and I will tell you what your outlook on life is.
When we enter into a friendship with a "what's in it for me" attitude, we run the risk of painful outcomes that are emotionally draining. If it is your goal to be a good and godly friend, you will find encouragement and direction within these chapters.
Chapter Titles include: Iron Sharpens Iron; A Friend Through Trials; A Friend of Integrity; Gracious Friendship; The Power of Influence; Beautifully Balanced; Living Joyfully; Tongue Control; Forgiving and Forgetting for Good; Privacy Please; Friends With the Authorities; Telling the Truth; Tending Your Friendship Garden; Christ As Our Friendship Pattern

WHAT A BLESSING!!!!

This book was such a blessing to me! I've been saved for 4 years. When I would hear some of my sisters at church talk about how they read a book and it gave them so much insight to things of the Lord I was very critical about it because I always thought, well, we have the word of God! What other book do we need? Then came the 2013 Sword of the Lord conference and I was given a book by Francie Taylor from one of the ladies at the booth. I had this book in my hand and saw another that I wanted, so I put this one back. The woman insisted that I get this book and ended up giving it to me. As she handed it to me she said it will be a blessing to you. And indeed it was. That woman was being led by the Lord, He knew what I needed. I had a very critical spirit and did not know it. There were things in this book that described me to the "T". So much that I felt like this book was written for me. I learned how to be a better woman for the Lord. I don't have a Mother to look to for an example of a gracious godly woman. Nor aunts or cousins. We have a lot of them at our church. But instead of me praying and asking the Lord to show me how to be a gracious godly woman, I just followed suit. Having the appearance of a gracious godly woman but not really being one. I conned myself, because I wasn't conning God. He knew what I was and what I wasn't. I have had a personal revival spark in me ever since I read this book. The Lord used this book to mold me into what He would have me to be. A gracious godly woman and an example my daughter can follow. I am no longer following suit. I'm following the Lord and allowing Him to continue to mold me and use me for His glory. I have since passed this book on to my Sister Friend and have been sharing its wisdom with many women in our church. God Bless you Francie Taylor!!!
