Miscarriage is the loss of a child as surely as if he or she had been introduced to the world. Though that special child was in reality known only to God, all parents who have experienced such loss universally share the same grief, unrealized expectations and crushed hopes.

Having had two miscarriages, the author covers both the physical and emotional effects of this tragedy with a special empathy, spiritual understanding and gentle comfort. With sympathetic insight and strong, scriptural support she tackles some of the haunting questions that often remain in the wake of miscarriage.

The influence of this event on the whole family circle is also handled in a thorough fashion. Along with the solid, scriptural advice, there is a clear presentation of the Gospel.

In all, this booklet is valuable instruction and help in dealing openly with a very sensitive subject.

Quick read, very comforting
Jennifer Kalmbach (Bothell, WA) 1/23/2020 3:58 PM
Someone gave me a copy of this after my first miscarriage-my first pregnancy (she'd received it after her own miscarriage. It took me a long time to be ready to read it but when I finally read it, it spoke to all of my worries, hurts and struggles. That was nearly 9 years ago and I've given away about 10 copies to others that God has put in my life that also miscarried or knew someone who had recently miscarried. I've come back to buy 10 more copies. With 20-25% of pregnancies ending in miscarriage or loss there is a lot of hurt that needs comforting. The author had early and late stage losses (miscarriage and stillbirth)and other children at the time of her losses but her words were still perfect for me (first pregnancy was a loss). I think it could even help a mother with a premature delivery loss...all of the children lived whether in or out of the womb. I would love to see this updated (so glad the cover has been updated!) as some of the information is a bit dated but it is still a wonderful resource. It spoke to my heart.
